Annual Kopp Memorial Lecture
The use of AAC in the Treatment of Aphasia presented by speaker Sarah Wallace, Ph.D., CCC-SLP and sponsored by The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wayne State University. Dr. Wallace is an Associate Professor and Program Director for the Adult Language and Cognition Clinic at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. A graduate of Western Michigan University, Sarah also has clinical experience providing services to individuals with acquired communication disorders and her specialties include multi modal intervention to assist people with neurogenic communication breakdowns, compensatory strategies that support reading and auditory comprehension in people with aphasia and integrating technology into provision of clinical services for individuals with neurogenic communication disorders.
