Event Description
Service Unites is the world’s largest service-related convening that will bring together more than 2,500 nonprofit, government, business and civic leaders to gain and share the knowledge, resources and connections needed to galvanize the power of people to create change globally. The conference's theme is “Igniting Civic Culture” and will feature 12 learning paths built around topics ranging from youth engagement to business as a force for good to building resilient communities through service. Past speakers have included U.S. Congressman John Lewis, former President Jimmy Carter, Tyler Perry, Jon Bon Jovi and more.

The event is being hosted by Points of Light – the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service.  Points of Light inspires, equips and mobilizes millions of people to take action that is changing the world. Through affiliates in 250 cities and partnerships with thousands of nonprofits and corporations, Points of Light engages 5 million volunteers in 20 million hours of service each year.

2018 Pricing

Corporate/Business:  $550 - early bird ends 4/13; $750 - regular
Corporations and/or businesses engaged in volunteer service and employee engagement programs. Includes Corporate Service Council members.

Nonprofit, Foundation and Government: $450 - early bird ends 4/13; $650 - regular
A government agency, nonprofit or foundation agency. Includes HandsOn Network affiliates and Service Enterprise Hubs or certified organizations.

International Participants, National Service, Service Year and Students: $350 - early bird ends 4/13; $400 - regular
To qualify for the student registration rate, students must present a valid student ID at the registration kiosk when they check in. To qualify for the National Service and/or Service Year registration rate, members must wear their National Service uniform or present valid ID. If a valid ID is not produced, or you are not wearing your National Service uniform, the applicable on-site registration fee will be charged.  Attendees who qualify for this rate include, but are not limited to: AmeriCorps state and national program/host site; AmeriCorps VISTA programs/host sites; CNCS staff; Martin Luther King Jr. Day grantees; Senior Corps programs; State Commissions; 9/11 Day grantees; current serving AmeriCorps state and national members; current serving AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps members; current AmeriCorps VISTA members; current FEMA Corps members and current Senior Corps volunteers.

Volunteer: $300 - early bird ends 4/13; $400 - regular
Each year, volunteers are needed to help with tasks such as stuffing conference bags, greeting attendees and helping with registration. Conference volunteers sign up for at least one four-hour shift. In exchange for their service, they receive a discounted registration rate. Conference volunteers have the same access to sessions and events as other attendees. If you register as a volunteer, you will be required to sign up for a four-hour volunteer shift before completing your registration. Anyone can sign up as a volunteer to receive a discounted registration, but shifts are limited and are first come, first served.
