Wildfires, hurricanes, and other extreme weather… these words trigger instant anxiety in each of us and young children are not excluded. Come join us to explore two newly developed educational programs for children of preschool and early elementary age addressing this very topic.
With developmentally appropriate instructional guidance and paired children’s books, we can help young children learn about weather and climate science, how to be safe, and the community helpers, themselves included, that can help support communities through extreme weather events.

She currently serves as the Chief Academic Officer for Goddard Systems Inc. and has worked at every level of early childhood education.
While she began her formal career teaching at the university level, she has prior experience teaching within preschools, consulting and serving as a support professional for children with autism, and serving as an embedded instructional coach for preschool teachers.
She is the author of the acclaimed "Big Conversations with Little Children" books.
