Northwest Justice Project (NJP) is a not-for-profit statewide law firm with a mission of Combatting
Injustice; Strengthening Communities; Protecting Human Dignity.
NJP secures justice for people in or near poverty through high quality legal advocacy that promotes the long-term wellbeing
of low-income individuals, families and communities through legal representation, community partnerships,
education, and other advocacy.
The Assistant Controller is responsible for assisting the Controller and Director of Finance with all
aspects of fiscal administration, cash management and reporting. The Assistant Controller will
interact with executive management, program personnel, auditors, grantors,
contractors and sub-contractors. This is a full-time exempt position located in the Seattle office.
Individuals may be qualified for a hybrid schedule.
Salary will be commensurate with the scope of responsibilities for the position, with an
annual salary range of 75,000 to 115,000. We offer a comprehensive benefits package,

Qualifications:
BA in accounting
CPA or equivalent
8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with not-for-profit accounting and understanding of government regulations including the Uniform Guidance.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with automated payroll and general ledger systems
Experience with Outlook, Word, MS Teams and Excel
