Details:
The Sanitary Sewers department is tasked with operation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s sanitary sewer system; performing rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer infrastructure; monitoring the work of contractors. The Equipment Operator is an entry-level position and serves as the member of a crew in the performance of field duties, assignments, assessments, and rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer system. The Equipment Operator may also be required to work within any part of the Underground Utilities department, as directed.
As a public employee this position is responsible for providing reliable delivery of utility services. This position requires consistent and prompt response to emergency repairs that occur outside of normal workdays and shifts.



Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid class B CDL with tanker and air brake endorsement or ability to obtain within six months.
• Experience in the Underground Utilities or other closely related experience (construction, plumbing, HVAC, electrical or similar) is desirable.
• Possession or the ability to possess, a Ohio EPA Class I Collections license within 18 months of hire.
• Maintain residency as required by the city.


Comments:
Equipment Operator I - II: $23.56 - $31.53
Typically Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (40hrs/week)
