The City of Marysville is currently seeking an individual to fill the role of Wastewater Collection Unit Operator. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for operating equipment and performing various tasks to maintain the City's sanitary collection systems, ensuring the efficient operation of 20+ lift stations.
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned, the successful candidate will also be involved in monitoring and inspecting equipment, maintaining records of equipment and maintenance activities, and assisting with the repair and replacement of system components as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Position Responsibilities:
• Diagnoses problems and repairs sewer lines.
• Inspect sewer lines to locate drainage, blockage, and other maintenance problems.
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries promptly to management in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.




Qualifications:
Applicant Requirements:
• High School Graduate (or GED)
• Valid Ohio Driver's License
• Class A-CDL (or obtain one within 12 months of hire)
• Possession of Class I Collections Systems Certificate from Ohio EPA or ability to obtain within 2 years
• Must be able to demonstrate predictable and reliable attendance



Comments:
The starting rate is:
• Operator (EPA Class I Collections license) $25.24 per hour (position range is $25.24 - $30.21 per hour)
• Operator-in-Training (not licensed) $24.02 per hour (position range is $24.02-$28.93 per hour)
