Avon Lake Regional Water is seeking a highly motivated entry level Operator for the position of full-time Operator in Training at the Water Filtration Plant. This position will include comprehensive training ultimately concluding in independent operation of the Water Filtration Plant. Under direct supervision of the Water Filtration Plant Manager and/or the Senior Operator, he/she will perform various tasks related to the treatment process. This may include minor maintenance to chemical feed equipment, online analysis equipment, acceptance of chemical deliveries, pumping changes, filter washes, laboratory or production data entry, and other tasks. Upon completion of required experience time and approval by the Ohio EPA for a Class 1 Water Supply License the employee will be automatically transferred to the Plant Operator title and pay scale.
Some of the exciting stipends and benefits that a Water Filtration Plant Operator and Operator in Training enjoy are:

• $2,500 per year ETL Stipend
• OEPA Class III License = $1,850 per year
• OEPA Class II License = $1,100 per year
• Bachelor Degree Stipend = $500 per year
• Associate Degree Stipend = $450 per year
• Shift Deviation Premium = $1,200 per year
• Employer paid continuing education
• 12 Hour shifts (while operating)
• Longevity stipend after 5-years of continuous employment
