Position Overview

The Purchasing Intern is responsible for providing support and confidential services to maintain efficient operations in the Procurement Services department. The Intern summer student will be responsible for assisting Procurement staff with various projects, including:

• Reviewing and drafting internal processes, templates and forms
• Supporting and coordinating Procurement records and archives
• Other projects/duties as assigned, which could include support across the contract management team

The Purchasing Intern will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced purchasing environment and will support the Procurement Policy team through coordinating projects and help develop procurement efficiencies as and when required.



Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada as a student
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in Legal Administration, Supply Chain or Business Programs
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, coupled with effective written and oral communication skills
• Excellent knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
