NAVPLG Award deadline extended!
Beginning April 3, 2024, nominations will be accepted for categories for awards that exemplify outstanding public sector volunteerism. NAVPLG works to strengthen volunteer programs through leadership, education, advocacy, networking, and information exchange and values the work of others who do the same. The association recognizes individuals, programs, programs, boards, and other groups with a shared commitment to positively impacting volunteerism in municipalities and counties across the country.

NAVPLG Education Series: Dismantling the Stigma Around Court-Ordered Service and Formerly Incarcerated Volunteers
In this session we will discuss the history of community service & diversion programs, the staggering economic value that these individuals provide to the third sector, concerns around exploitation of this compelled labor, and ways we can provide more meaningful community service to reduce recidivism rates.
