ARS Membership Dues Will Go Up Slightly on September 1, 2023
The ARS is announcing an incremental increase in membership dues, beginning September 1, 2023. The increase will be $5 for most membership types. For the past ten years, the membership fee has stayed the same at $50 a year for most individual memberships. We have been fortunate to enjoy a relatively long period of very low inflation. But in 2020 and 2021, inflation climbed above 5% for the first time in years. To keep up with rising costs the ARS faces in publishing the magazine, mailing costs, insurance, employee cost of living increases and many other expenses, the ARS Executive Committee has decided that a modest fee increase is warranted. Members who renew before September 1 will be able to renew at the old rate ($50 for a Standard Individual Membership, $45 for Digital/Electronic). The half-price membership special will still be available at a slightly increased rate. If the membership fee is a problem for you, please contact Administrative Director Susan Burns and she may be able to help you.

The membership structure will also soon be revamped in order to simplify the many different ARS membership types.
