CPAN – Coalition Protecting Auto No Fault
Speak to Your State Representative During Open Office Hours

19-Oct-2011

Tell Them to VOTE NO on HB 4936

CPAN members are encouraged to reach out to their state representatives during the posted office hours (below) and urge them to stop and DO THE MATH on this legislation: fewer benefits + higher taxes = insurance company profits.

When they do, they'll clearly see HB 4936 is bad for drivers, bad for taxpayers and bad for Michigan.

House Bill 4936 will:

  • Cap auto injury benefits and PUSH severely injured accident victims onto WELFARE.
  • ADD millions of dollars in COSTS to the state Medicaid system
  • FORCE drivers to purchase additional insurance to protect themselves from uninsured drivers
  • IMPOSE a GOVERNMENT-MANDATED price control on medical procedures, which will reduce healthcare providers ability to deliver quality care.
  • TAKES AWAY Michigan voters' constitutional RIGHT to overturn the legislation via public referendum.
