Two OH&LA Board Members Honored by OSU College of Human Sciences
Congratulations to the following OH&LA board members, who were recently honored during Oklahoma State University College of Human Science’s Homecoming Celebration Luncheon

Distinguished Alumni Award - Rebecca Eastham, Ph.D. 
Rebecca Eastham, Ph.D., is Meridian Technology Center’s executive director of business and industry services. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant administration in 1988, Eastham’s hospitality career began with Holiday Inn Great Southwest as front office manager. During the next few years, she worked for Hyatt Regency in Dallas and Beaver Creek before joining the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs as training manager. Eastham returned to Oklahoma as director of student programs for the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association and Oklahoma Restaurant Association. After earning a master’s degree, she joined the College of Human Sciences as an adjunct faculty member. In 2009 she became director of business and industry services for MTC. In 2014, she received a Ph.D. from the College of Human Sciences. Eastham serves on the board of directors of the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association, and the board of trustees for the Oklahoma Restaurant Association. She helped found the OH&LA's Oklahoma Chapter of Women in Lodging, and served as the chapter's first chairperson.

Rising Star Award - Andrew Mungul
Upon receiving a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant administration from the College of Human Sciences in 2011, Andrew Mungul began his career in Tulsa with the Ambassador Hotel Collection. After serving as director of sales and operations at the Ambassador in Kansas City, Mungul was named the general manager of the Ambassador Hotel Collection in Tulsa. Since 2014, he has led a $2 million renovation to the historic hotel in addition to his other duties as GM. Mungul currently serves as a board member of the the Oklahoma Hotel & Lodging Association and the Metro Tulsa Hotel and Lodging Association. While in school, Mungul served as the American Hotel & Lodging Association student chapter president and was a member of the vintner committee during the 2011 Wine Forum of Oklahoma. In 2014, Mungul was one of the keynote panelists for Hospitality Days.
