OKWIL Holds Seminar on Managing Multiple Priorities
A new entertaining and informative OK Women in Lodging seminar was held on June 28th at Tulsa Technology Center called "Managing Multiple Priorities.” It was hosted by OKWIL and facilitated by Amy Hamilton of Tulsa Technology Center. Lucille Ball and a host of “monkeys” illustrated the stress we all are under when we do not manage our priorities well. Delegation and decision-making on “where you put your monkeys” were evaluated, discussed and OKWIL attendees learned how to deal with and delegate with those pesky "monkeys."
In addition, a “Shelter Shower” was held where items were gathered to help supply the Wings of Hope Women’s Shelter in Stillwater. Wings of Hope is a domestic violence service providing help in Stillwater, OK. Oklahoma Women in Lodging volunteered at that facility earlier in the year as well as Dayspring Villa in Tulsa and saw that these women and children need many items to provide the comforts of home during this life-changing transition.
