Welcome to the Phi Beta Chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta 

We are located at Amarillo College In Texas.  As a National Honor Society, we offer students opportunities for leadership, fellowship, service, and scholarship.  We are not just for English majors.  We welcome anyone interested in reading, ideas, and good discussion. 

What We Do

  • Recognize and reward outstanding achievement in English language and literature.
  • Provide cultural stimulation and promote interest in English on two-year college campuses and in the communities they serve.
  • Foster English in all its aspects, including creative and critical writing.
  • Promote good professional interaction among members.
  • Exhibit high standards of academic achievement.
