Welcome to the Omega Delta Chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta
Sigma Kappa Delta, Omicron Zeta Chapter, is an English honor society located at Tarrant County College, Southeast Campus in Texas. The society is specifically designed for two-year community colleges. Membership requirements include completion of at least 12 semester hours college credit, three semester hours of college English, and an overall 3.0 GPA.We are proud to call Tarrant County College's Southeast Campus our home, and we are glad for your interest.
Our chapter began in 2010, and since our founding, we have been committed to both academic excellence and community service, both on- and off-campus. We welcome students of all majors, and we are always looking for ways to promote education, literature, and literacy throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

We are also associated with Sigma Kappa Delta, the national English honors society for two-year colleges. This honors society allows students to present at conferences, publish critical and creative writing, and win scholarship and award money. Past Events
At the beginning of each semester, SKD participates in Program Expo, a recruitment fair to encourage new membership. Here, SKD sponsor Colleen Alvarenga prepared our information table and is eagerly awaiting her first batch of visitors.
Sigma Kappa Delta participated in the annual Arlington Life Shelter Dinner held every holiday season. We help host the shelter's residents, particularly the children, for a night of delicious food, fun, and games. There is even a visit from Santa and a story hour with Mrs. Claus! In this photo, we see chapter sponsor, Tonyia Benton, and Ariana, our chapter president, around our green and gold Christmas tree.
Our pet food and supply drive was very successful!
