Technology adoption in the intellectual and developmental disabilities space lags behind other sectors within health and human services. This includes implementing electronic health records (EHR) for tracking supports provided and billing for services and other supportive technology tools.
While technology adoption in the field has lagged, the available technology solutions and their capabilities are proliferating. There are tremendous opportunities to extend the support that can be provided to individuals (including enhancing their independence and safety) through the available technology. How do you make sense of it all and create a roadmap for your organization that focuses on technology that facilitates efficiencies for your DSPs while providing the additional supports needed for the individuals you serve?
Join this panel discussion of lessons learned from the field. Program and technology leaders for organizations will gain valuable insights into approaching their selection and use of an EHR with a focus on the “right amount of technology” and a system that DSPs can quickly adopt.
