Event Description
The Otero County Fair and Rodeo held annually at the Otero County Fairgrounds in Alamogordo, NM has a rich history dating back to September 1936.
Over the years the fair has evolved to include a wide range of activities and events such as livestock shows, rodeo competitions, carnival rides and games, live entertainment, arts and crafts exhibits, farm products, weaving, food vendors, retail vendors and educational displays. The fair provides an opportunity for the community to display their talents, compete in various contests and socialize with friends and neighbors.
The Otero County Fair & Rodeo is a beloved tradition, attracting people from near and far to come together and celebrate the agricultural heritage and community spirit of Otero County.
As the fair continues to evolve and grow, it remains an important cultural event that showcases the best of what Otero County has to offer. The Otero County Fair Association is committed to keeping the fair free of entry charge. A big thank you to our Friends of the Fair who help make this possible!
