Join us for DCFR’s annual holiday dinner featuring our distinguished guest, former Australian Prime Minister, The Honorable Scott Morrison.
During his tenure as Prime Minister, Mr Morrison drove changes that reshaped Australian defense strategy and Indo-Pacific security. To address the challenge posed by China’s expanding military power, Mr. Morrison spearheaded development of the historic AUKUS trilateral defense agreement. Additionally, Mr. Morrison was a founding member of the “Quad”, a strategic security dialogue between Australia, India, Japan and the US during a period of growing tension and uncertainty.
Mr. Morrison will discuss the evolving security situation in the Indo-Pacific, including China’s strategic goals and the policies necessary to deter conflict in this vital, yet increasingly unsettled region.
