COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 

Join KGTC for TWO exciting webinars designed specifically for educators who are new to the world of gifted education! Whether you're a seasoned teacher stepping into a new challenge or a fresh face in the educational field, this special double webinar promises to be your ultimate guide to understanding and inspiring gifted learners. Each hour-long session will be packed with helpful tips to make the school year successful.

 

Tuesday August 6th

  • Identifying Gifted Learners in Kansas with Dr. Jessica LaFollette, KGTC Director of Professional Learning - Discover important legal guidelines and practical strategies for finding gifted learners.

  • Curriculum Resources and tips to ignite learning with KGTC President-Elect Carie Barber - Start the year with a toolkit of challenging resources and ideas for developing high quality lessons.

  • Social/Emotional Needs of the Gifted and Twice Exceptional with KGTC President Lindsay Black - Learn how to navigate the sensitivities and intensities of your neurodivergent thinkers.
