The Diversity in Water Speaker Series invites leaders in Ohio’s water industry from diverse backgrounds to discuss their careers, lend us their life lessons, and help lead the discussion on championing diversity within the water industry and in our day-to-day lives.
Diversity in Water Speaker Series: Haishan Piao

Haishan Piao currently serves as the Chief Engineer at Greater Cincinnati Water Works. She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 2003. Since 2008, Haishan has been a registered Professional Engineer in Environmental Engineering in Ohio, holding a Class IV Water Supply license from the Ohio EPA since 2019. With over 21 years of expertise, her career spans water treatment, water quality controls, distribution system modeling, and capital improvement project management.
