On September 13, 2024, from 10:30 AM to Noon CST the SBRA will be host an online forum that can best ve described as "everything you wanted to know about sports betting but were afraid to ask". The session is entitled "Sports Betting 101 for Regulators".
Our featured speaker is Adam Robinson, a board member of American Betters’ Voice, and will explain numerous issues from the vantage point of those who wager on sports seriously and understand all the nuances of the odds, types of wagers, opportunities and challanges faced by those who fuel the entire industry - the players, big and small.
As many regulators have not been professional players, there is much to learn from somone like Mr. Robinson who will be conducting the online seminar for SBRA Members. This presentation was made at "BetBash" an annual and extremely well attended confab of players. SBRA Vice President Tom Sage attended on behalf of the regulators and felt that the information presented to be extremely valuable for anyone charged with the responsibility of regulating this activity. This is why the SBRA extended an invitation to Mr. Robinson
Mr. Robinson will be discussing the basic terms associated with sports wagering. He will discuss what the odds mean (+100 or -100) plus other topics relevant to regulators. Mr. Robinson will take any questions from regulators. Regulators should view this webinar as an essential continuing education component.
