Overview:
 
This workshop will explore the emergence of AI in the field of mental health. We will review different ways in which AI is currently being used within the field, potential benefits, limitations, ethical considerations, and ways in which mental health professionals can be prepared for AI related implications in their professional setting.

Objectives: Attendees will leave with an understanding of:

1. The concept of artificial intelligence and it's potential implications for the field of psychology

2. How companies are using AI as replacements/supplements for therapists

3. How AI technology might be used by providers



Presented by: Elena E. Silberman Scott, LCPC, CADC


Elena E Silberman Scott is an LCPC and CADC practicing in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. She was previously an award-winning journalist. In addition to working in a private practice, Elena is part of the staff at Holy Family Medical Center- Keys to Recovery, (formerly AMITA). She is also a 2nd year doctoral student at Adler University in the Clinical Psychology program concentrating in Primary Care Psychology and Behavioral Medicine.
