TOUR Address: City of Wyoming Clean Water Plant, 2350 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville MI, 49418 (North of the intersection at Ivanrest Ave and Chicago Dr)

Plant Description: The City of Wyoming Clean Water Plant has a design flow of 27 mgd, a peak flow of 42mgd, and an average daily flow of 14mgd. The collection system consists of 12 lift stations and encompasses all of the City of Wyoming, Byron & Gaines townships, and about half the City of Kentwood. Once the flow arrives at the Clean Water plant there are two ½ inch Vulcan bar screens followed by vortex grit removal. From there the wastewater travels to the four covered primary clarifiers. The flow is then split into three aeration basins that are designed with anoxic zones before entering the basins, this is where our biological phosphorus (Bio-P) removal takes place and in 2016 we upgraded to fine-bubble membrane diffusers. We are currently in the process of upgrading our old centrifugal blowers to APG Neuros Turbo Blowers. After the microorganisms have removed much of the nutrients from the wastewater in the aeration basins the water flows to four finals. The last step in the process is our most recent upgrade, Ultra-Violet light disinfection with Trojan Signa UV lights. Other exciting things at the Clean Water Plant include a Biofilter for Odor Control, Centrisys dewatering centrifuge, Household Hazardous Waste site, A Headworks improvement project, a Digester feasibility study, and a Biosolids drying study.

MIXER Address: Two Guys Brewing, 2356 Porter St SW, Wyoming, MI 49519
