The Diversity in Water Speaker Series invites leaders in Ohio’s water industry from diverse backgrounds to discuss their careers, lend us their life lessons, and help lead the discussion on championing diversity within the water industry and in our day-to-day lives. Diversity in Water Speaker Series: Simoni Triantafyllidou Date / Time: Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 5:30 – 6:30PM, ET Simoni is an environmental engineer with USEPA's Office of Research and Development in Cincinnati, Ohio. She conducts research and provides technical support revolving around aquatic chemistry, drinking water quality & treatment, corrosion science, inorganic contaminants and sustainable drinking water infrastructure (premise plumbing & distribution systems). Simoni earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in environmental engineering at Virginia Tech, after completing her undergraduate engineering degree at the Technical University of Crete in Greece. Simoni currently serves as an AWWA Water Quality & Technology Division Trustee, after previously chairing the AWWA Premise Plumbing Committee.
