About Our Speakers:
Matthew Bartels, Cannon Design
As a Senior Vice President with CannonDesign and 30-year veteran in the industry, Matt Bartels leads some of the firm’s largest and most complex projects. He works relentlessly to bring teams together to develop design solutions and deliver projects that leave a lasting impact on society. With the huge growth in Design-Build projects over the last decade, Matt has been integral to the recent success of over $200M in DB projects in the Rocky Mountain Region. Matt is highly conscious of both the end-user experience and pushing the boundaries of sustainability in design which leads to projects that allow people to flourish for generations.
Michelle Swanson, The RMH Group
Michelle Swanson is a Vice President and mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience designing central utility plants, higher education campuses, laboratories, and office buildings. Sustainable, energy and emissions conscious design has been an emphasis throughout this broad practice and especially in planning for low carbon district energy. She is a LEED AP BD+C, member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the International District Energy Association (IDEA). Michelle is based in Denver, Colorado and earned a B.S. degrees in mechanical and civil engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
