OVERVIEW & Why Attend?

Join us to explore the transformative impact of culturally responsive, asset-based mentorship on inclusivity in the biomedical research workforce. With funding mechanisms increasingly requiring mentorship components, this conference offers a unique opportunity to:
  • Discover mentorship approaches to support funding criteria but also foster inclusivity across individual, team, and institutional levels.
  • Gain insights from national collegiate experts in mentorship, learning strategies to empower underrepresented students in biomedical fields.
  • Build valuable partnerships and share community-driven research and approaches dedicated to advancing impactful mentorship practices.
  • NIH’s updates to NIH Institutional Training Grant applications fostering mentorship, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions about effective mentorship practices and explore ways to intentionally integrate and strengthen mentorship within training programs, as well as support the broader institutionalization of mentorship.

Connect, collaborate, and lead the movement toward a more inclusive and thriving biomedical research landscape.
