Course Description:
The role of the speech pathologist in helping neurologically impaired patients return to driving readiness is unclear and underestimated.   Typically, other members of the rehab team address physical, cognitive and visual issues associated with return to driving skills.  Speech pathologists routinely address cognitive and visual issues without automatically making the connection our therapeutic approaches contribute to a person's return to driving journey.  This course is designed to reinforce the role of the speech pathologist in patients returning to driving.
