The Center for Infrastructure, Energy, and Space Testing (CIEST) provides a centrally managed experimental testing facility offering geotechnical centrifuge, structural dynamics and materials testing. The facility boasts unique large-scale, fast loading rate, gravitational and environmental control capabilities.

The CIEST lab facility exists to provide publicly accessible facilities and expertise for large-scale structural and materials testing. The center is a group of shared laboratories open to students, faculty and visitors.

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm CIEST facilities tour (meeting in the Engineering Center Lobby: https://www.colorado.edu/map?id=336#!m/193854?share )
5:00 pm – 5:15 pm External usage of CIEST facilities
5:15 pm – 6:00 pm Discussion of Practical Project Examples*

*In the past we have had the most productive tours when individuals /firms have prepared to discuss examples of projects they think could benefit from CIEST facilities (e.g.., the centrifuge) or examples of projects where there is significant uncertainty / suspected inefficiencies when the current state-of-practice is being followed.
