Event Description
Science, Scenery and Good company. These are the goals of the 2025 NAS Geology Field Trip to Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park and other geological sites. Join the expedition that will explore the fossil beds of Ashfall, the Blacktail Creek Ash and Yellowstone Hot Spot history, and explore deposits of the Cretaceous North American interior Seaway. Transportation from Lincoln and Omaha will be provided, as well as two lunches, breakfast, and dinner. We will be camping one night at a location TBD. Meet and network with like-minded science lovers, science teachers, students, geologists, and enjoy campfire discussions in the woods!
