Investing in Leaders Series
Overview
In this engaging, interactive, and practical leadership development series, attendees will be motivated to make simple changes that drive productivity, teamwork, and retention. Leaders will feel confident in creating develop plans and goal setting, bringing their teams closer together in-person and virtually, and in holding people accountable. There will be opportunities for connecting with other leaders and asking questions. All attendees will receive an ebook of Tia’s best-selling book, Be a Happy Leader.
1) Employee Development Plans: Appreciation and Goal Setting
In this interactive session, leaders will learn how to set clear goals and involve team members in their own development plans. The program will include proven leadership coaching strategies to use during one-on-one sessions that will motivate employees. Attendees will understand how to authentically incorporate specific, authentic, and positive feedback and appreciation to increase engagement and drive results.
2) Effective Team Building: In-Person and Virtually
Human connection is in the number one driver of happiness at work and while working virtually. In this engaging session, leaders will tactics on how to strengthen the team dynamic with psychological safety, fun, employee-led ideas, and collaborative brainstorming. The program will include simple ideas to strengthen your team in-person and virtually and will offer the opportunity for engagement and connection with other leaders in the session.
3) Holding People Accountable: Focusing on Results and Retention
A main driver of motivation while working in experiencing progress in meaningful work. In this program, leaders will understand how to set clear expectations, hold people accountable with in-the-moment coaching and using one-on-one meetings. When leaders successfully balance positive feedback and holding people accountable, their team members will want to stay with the organization and will drive results.
Led by Tia Graham
Tia Graham is an international keynote and TEDx speaker, best-selling author and leadership trainer on positive psychology, positive work cultures, and organizational growth. She has worked with dozens of global companies such as Marriott Hotels, Hewlett Packard, and The American Heart Association to elevate employee engagement and results. With multiple certifications in neuroscience, positive psychology, coaching, and employee retention, and over 14 years of leadership experience, Tia is widely regarded by business leaders in her field. Her insights have been featured in major media such as CNN, Forbes, and Fast Company to name a few. Her bestselling book, Be a Happy Leader, teachers her proprietary 8-step methodology on driving productivity and business growth through a culture of happiness.
Tia is a Certified Chief Happiness Officer from Woohoo Inc., Europe’s premier Happiness At Work organization. Prior to founding her company, Arrive at Happy, she led teams at luxury hotels in the United States and Europe. She was born in British Columbia, Canada and currently lives in Irvine, California with her husband, two daughters, and golden doodle.
She is also the Founder of The Feel Good Club, a membership for high-achieving working moms.
