Join representatives from the City of Brampton and OECM for a practical discussion on how public agencies can begin or expand Indigenous procurement initiatives in a meaningful and compliant way.

This session will cover:

• Indigenous supplier verification and the role of third-party certification
• Insights from the City of Brampton's supplier diversity program
• An overview of OECM's Indigenous Marketplace and how it was developed to support public sector organizations
• The Supplier Selection Tool and how to identify qualified Indigenous suppliers that align with your procurement needs

OECM’s Indigenous Marketplace reflects our commitment to social procurement and economic reconciliation, in alignment with TRC Call to Action 92. Through this initiative, 40+ qualified Indigenous suppliers have been vetted and are available to support a wide range of procurement needs.

Attendees will leave with practical guidance, resources, and examples to help move Indigenous procurement initiatives from intention to action.

With a focus on driving sustainability and fostering innovative circular economies, contributions include leveraging procurement practices to influence markets and create impactful change.

Luba Medvedeva
Luba Medvedeva is a Business Development leader with 15+ years of experience advancing marketplace growth, stakeholder engagement, and strategic partnerships across both the public and private sectors. In her current role, she actively advances ESG priorities, with a strong focus on social procurement and Indigenous engagement—helping public sector organizations build partnerships with Indigenous businesses and connect with qualified Indigenous suppliers through initiatives like OECM’s Indigenous Marketplace.
