Event Description
Water and wastewater utilities face a growing range of threats, including natural disasters, infrastructure failures, physical security incidents, and cyberattacks. This course provides operators with practical knowledge and tools to help protect critical infrastructure, maintain regulatory compliance, and respond effectively during emergencies.
Participants will explore emergency response planning, public notification requirements, spill reporting, mutual aid resources, physical security best practices, and cybersecurity fundamentals. Through real-world examples and interactive tabletop exercises, attendees will evaluate vulnerabilities, discuss response strategies, and strengthen their ability to maintain safe and reliable water and wastewater operations during disruptive events.
This course is designed for water and wastewater operators, supervisors, managers, and utility personnel responsible for operational readiness, security, and emergency response.
