The Office of Financial Aid is seeking two Financial Aid Advisors. These are full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty positions. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Director.

These are full-time Financial Aid Advisor positions within the Office of Financial Aid at Oregon State University. The Financial Aid Advisor is a member of an advising team with primary responsibility to contribute to the administration of Federal Title IV, State, and Institutional financial aid programs and to counsel student and families regarding the financial aid process. This position manages a student case load for determining aid eligibility. Participates in recruitment initiatives and outreach programs. Assists with program management as needed with the supervisory staff.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in field of choice.

One year of experience working in Higher Education or K-12.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work with and counsel diverse students, parents and the community.

Commitment to exceptional customer service.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.


Comments:
Preferred: Fluent in a second language, preferably Spanish.

Previous experience as a Financial Aid Advisor or experience working in a Financial Aid office.

Banner experience.

Current working knowledge of Title IV financial aid programs and regulations.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
