The Student Financial Services (SFS) Customer Service Specialist 2 independently supports the customer service function of the financial aid office by processing financial aid application data in a timely manner. This position relieves the Financial Aid Counselors of routine customer service activities by providing information, advice and counsel on a variety of federal, state, and institutional financial aid and student account policies and procedures. In this capacity, the incumbent plays a critical role in the University’s recruitment and retention efforts. All employees are expected to support CWU’s commitment to diversity and to bring and support inclusion into the university environment.
Qualifications:
• Clerical experience.
• Working experience in a professional office environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret and explain policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft office and related applications.
• Demonstrated willingness and/or experience working with students and/or co-workers from a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and experiences.
• OR applicable combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
