Ascent Funding is an award-winning student lender on a mission to revolutionize how students access, pay for higher education, and succeed in their post-education careers. We are looking to grow the team to bring on a business development specialist to help us build and strengthen our university relationships, especially with University Financial Aid Officers, to help ensure more students have access to and benefit from high-quality education programs.

Would we be a good fit for you? A few principles that we hold dear:
- Look for the right answers. We don’t always know them right away, and they change over time. Be diligent about driving toward good decisions, testing to find proof points and solve problems.
- Be collaborative. Our team members and our partners are sharp, and come in a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Be willing to listen, to collaborate, and to grow together.

In this role, you will:
- Strive to deeply understand our student & school customers and their concerns through deep research and in-depth interviews
- Strategize, create and implement marketing campaigns and content (email, webinars, presentations) to drive awareness and preference for Ascent Funding with current and potential university partners, securing visibility on university lender profile lists
- Conduct feedback sessions with our two customer audiences, schools & students, to inform product/service strategy and product development opportunities for improvement
- Effectively pitch Ascent’s value proposition and its benefits to prospective university partners via live demos and presentations
