The director of financial aid serves as the college's chief administrator for the delivery of student financial aid services. This position provides leadership, management and strategic direction for student financial aid programs, direct delivery of financial aid services to students, and ensures compliance with federal, state and college rules and regulations. The director is responsible for ensuring the financial aid process is student focused and that all students receive high quality and comprehensive financial aid services. The director provides leadership and management to the financial aid office staff. This position reports to the vice president of student services and works collaboratively with other members within student services and departments campus-wide.

Terms of Employment:
This is full-time administrative exempt position contracted on an annual basis. The salary for this position is $82,000 annually. The salary will be prorated to reflect the actual number of contract days worked in the remainder of the fiscal year. Flexibility in scheduling is required to meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field from a regionally accredited institution.
Three years supervising staff with proven success as a supervisor/manager.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Proficiency in all areas of Title IV programs and compliance with federal, state and institutional requirements.
Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
Thinks critically about how to serve minoritized and under-served students and implements strategies to do so.
