The Department of Epidemiology, Rollins School of Public Health (RSPH), Emory University is seeking a post-doctoral fellow in Environmental and Reproductive Epidemiology. Current collaborative studies focus on how environmental exposures, such as air pollution and climate change, contribute to infertility and adverse pregnancy outcomes. Based on background, skills, and interests, the fellow would have the opportunity to work on a range of funded projects including air pollution and fertility using a vitrified donor oocyte cohort, climate change and outcomes of assisted reproduction using a large CDC database, environmental influences on the serum and follicular fluid metabolome, and others.

The fellow is expected to increase his/her methodological and substantive knowledge of environmental and reproductive epidemiology, build skills for developing and implementing research studies, and have opportunities to lead and/or co-author manuscript publications. S/he will perform population health research activities, including developing and implementing research protocols, performing data analyses, preparing manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals, delivering presentations at scientific meetings, assisting in the development of grant proposals, and providing other research and methodological support for existing and ongoing studies. Opportunities to develop and write funding proposals are also available.

The fellow will be under the mentorship of Principal Investigator Dr. Audrey Gaskins and will have the opportunity to collaborate with investigators at Emory RSPH, Emory School of Medicine, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Georgia Tech. The fellow will be based at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a start date of Fall 2022. This fellowship is a one-year, full-time position, with a possible one- to two-year extension, based on funding and performance. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with NIH standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
-A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field
-Excellent scientific writing ability, strong oral communication skills, and statistical programming experience
-The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator

Preferred Qualifications:
-PhD in Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Biostatistics or other relevant quantitative field
-Demonstrated experience in environmental and/or reproductive epidemiology
-Expertise in data management/analysis, SAS or R (preferred)
-Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a good working relationship with others on the team and collaborator
-Demonstrated experience in developing manuscripts for publication
