Details:
The Cytogenetics Technologist performs all phases of sample accessioning, set up, harvesting, slide preparation, staining, microscopic analysis, G-banded karyotyping and performs FISH set up and analysis. We are a full-service lab providing pre- and post-natal testing for both congenital and oncology specimen. Works under the direction of Cytogenetics Lab Supervisor. A Bachelor of Science degree is required. Experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/Medical (Clinical) Laboratory Science OR Bachelor of Science in a physical, chemical or biological science.
2. WV Licensure as a Trainee within 90 days of hire.
3. WV Licensure as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) after one year of training.
