School Administrators of Montana

Conferences and Events

SAM Conferences and Events:

Registration is now open for the 2025 SAM Administrators Institute (SAM AI), taking place July 28-30 at the Delta Colonial in Helena! This year’s theme, Recharging Leadership: Fostering Dignity, Hope, and Resilience in Education, invites education leaders from across Montana to engage in powerful and practical professional learning.

Attendees will choose from two compelling pre-conference sessions: "Core Plus and More" focused on differentiating Tier 1 and 2 instruction and using data to drive student success, or "Leadership & Happiness" which equips leaders with neuroscience-backed strategies to foster organizational well-being and leadership effectiveness.

SAM AI features keynote sessions by nationally recognized leaders: Tami Pyfer will introduce The Dignity Index as a tool for leading through division with courage and civility; Tina Barrett will present RECHARGE, offering resilience-building strategies rooted in trauma-informed care and grief sensitivity; and Dr. Richard Miller will share the powerful Kids at Hope framework to unlock potential in every child through belief and hope-based leadership.

Combined with a variety of breakout sessions, SAM AI provides practical strategies, research-based insights, and collaborative inspiration to help you energize, empower, and elevate your leadership.

Register you and your team today:  2025 SAM AI Registration Form

2024-25 SAM Webinar Schedule:

  • May 8: Campus Early Warning and Insights with Mary Anne Skinner, Director of Infinite Campus Support Services for School Services of MT - Infinite Campus’ Early Warning module provides administrators, counselors, etc. with a District specific dashboard to easily see a student’s progression toward graduation and the likelihood of being promoted to the next grade level. This dashboard allows staff to intervene more effectively in a student’s trajectory. Campus Insights works in tandem with the Early Warning module. Providing a more visual presentation, Insights allows customization to focus on assessments, behavior, attendance, classroom performance, and stability data.
