On June 4 at 6:14 PM, the SPI Police responded to an incident on the beach behind 7000 block of Padre Blvd. (On the beach near the general vicinity of Clayton’s/La Quinta Beach) According to the reporting Police Officer, Abigail Polanco, the investigation revealed male subject, Jose Angel Hernandez, from Florida caused bodily injury to another person. In the report, Hernandez was arrested and taken to the SPI city jail. According to Facebook, many panicked over reported gunfire and caused a stampede endangering the crowd. However, at this time, there is no gun mentioned in the police report. [More to come] |
