Greetings IWWSG Members & Friends,
I want to extend a big “Thank You!!” to IWWSG’s members, non-members, Steering Committee members, and the great presenters that have helped to create the momentum for our post-pandemic rejuvenation. On October 19, Linda Holst, Deputy Director of EPA Region 5’s Water Division, provided an interesting and timely update at a well-attended dinner meeting at Pompei Italian Restaurant on Taylor Street. Topics for discussion included EPA Priorities, Climate Adaptation, PFAS, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and Ongoing Rulemaking. The Q&A session certainly kept the conversation going (photos below). Anyone who attended and would like a copy of the PowerPoint presentation please email me (see links below).
Looking ahead, your Steering Committee is excited to announce our “MWRD Updates” dinner meeting at Erie Café in downtown Chicago on November 16 (usually our best-attended meeting!). Going forward we are gearing up and planning great speakers/venues for 2023! 2023 may bring us the opportunity to host a golf outing, however, to ensure that happens we would love you to participate! Participation is a great way to network! Please email me if you can help, it is a lot of work but will be fun and our final decision depends on you. We will need hole sponsors, help with activities and recruitment. Please email me today to offer your help at events@iwwsg.org.
For those of you who haven’t yet become a member, please don’t hesitate! We are ALWAYS thrilled to welcome new members! To join, simply go to https://www.iwwsg.org/membership.php and follow the instructions. If you are a member already and need an invoice with payment information, please contact us at membership@iwwsg.org.
We look forward to continuing to serve you as a Member, as we continuously work to improve our organization! |
