The Art Lounge is springing off this Saturday with a free art exhibition from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. to celebrate the one-year anniversary.
The theme of this year’s exhibition is BLOOM, and the lounge is buying the community flowers as a symbol of appreciation. The name Bloom symbolizes the growth and beauty in transformation felt by the artists from the community.
Opening its doors on May 13 last year, gallery owner Hamsa wants to thank the community for embracing the establishment and staying connected. She says the lounge had a fantastic first year and is excited about the future.
“It’s just the beginning,” said Hamsa.

The gallery’s artists are excited for the public to enter the garden to witness the variety of unique flowers. The creativity is in décor, from big tables serving refreshments and pastries, blooming teapots, flowers, green turf, and fabrics to a very different series of experimental abstract pieces.
Although there is no dress code, the public is encouraged to bring its most colorful attire, fascinators, and gloves for the tea party like vibe.
All the gallery’s artists will attend, including the two ABI Alums flying in for the celebration (Cristina Piecuch and Kristi Abbott).
Apart from the refreshments and pastries, the lounge will also feature a live musical performance by cellist Natalie Haugeberg.
Hamsa says she hopes to keep Bloom as an annual event.
