The 20th Annual NW Patient Safety Conference Dates and More
The 20th NW Patient Safety Conference will be held on October 17&18th, 2023. We welcome members to explore and provide feedback on the new Discussion Board. If you haven't already done so, don't forget that the next round of nominations for the Speak Up! Award is due April 28th, 2023, so submit applications now! Lastly, go check out and register for the Bree Collaboration Webinar: Examining the Complexities of REL Data.

Place a hold on your calendars, the 2023 NW Patient Safety Conference is scheduled for October 17 & 18, 2023. It will be virtual in an effort to continue greater access for everyone in the PNW and allowing us to provide exceptional content at a low cost to attendees. Registration will open in June. Keep checking the website for updates.

WPSC Discussion Board Is Up! |
The WPSC would like to welcome members to explore and provide feedback on the new Discussion Board (Please send feedback to WPSC@qualityhealth.org). The idea behind the creation of this forum is to foster engagement and build community. We encourage you to share your ideas and experiences with the Coalition Community. Here’s how to access it:

Log into the WPSC Member Area. If you don’t remember or have a login/password email WPSC@qualityhealth.org. Subject: need log in
- Click on “Member Discussion Board”
- It will take you to the Discussion Forum where you will see various “forums” you can browse and contribute to by clicking on them.
- After clicking on a forum, it will take you to the various topics within the forum. Click on any topic to read and participate in the topic’s discussion.

To create a new topic within a forum, enter the new topic name in the Topic Title field and any comments, description or instructions in the larger box below the topic title. Don’t worry about the other fields.
- Click the Submit button on the lower right of the screen.
- To return to other screens you can use the browser’s arrows.
We would like to thank the Addressing Stigma & Bias Workgroup (ASBW) for creating this forum. If you are interested in addressing stigma and bias, we invite you to start or join a discussion on the ASBW Discussion Board.

Nominations are Still Open for the Spring Speak-Up! Award |
Don’t forget to encourage colleagues at your organization to nominate individuals or teams for the Speak-Up Award. The next nomination period ends April 28th. If you work for a large health system, please let your facilities know about the award. If you are an association, please encourage your members to participate. Here is communication content you can use. The award provides a fantastic opportunity to support your efforts to create a culture of safety, reduce preventable errors, and retain staff. Winners and finalists receive free conference registration.
There are three 2023 Awards. Nomination due dates are: - – April 28, 2023
