The Property
The Cameron County Appraisal District website shows 100% ownership of the ideal hospital location belonging to South Padre Island Medical Facilities LLC with a 6601 Cypress Dr. Ste 225 Spring TX US 77379-7893 mailing address. The General Warranty Deed signed on Feb. 14, 2020, was from Dalor Limited Partnership to South Padre Island Medical Facilities LLC.

One week earlier, however, a new LLC was formed. The Certificate of Formation dated Feb. 7, 2020, showed Exponent Ventures LLC, based in Lehi, Utah, as the manager's business name and information. The signed organizer on the document is Samuel B. Wilkinson. David Suissa is Dalor Limited Partnership's Registered Agent with the Texas Secretary of State. According to Dr. Ybarra, he and Suissa made an agreement three years ago to sell the property at a below-market price to quickly get a hospital on SPI. |

Compton Jr. According to the business and intellectual property law firm's website, Matthew S. Compton Jr. graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston Law Center.
When called, Compton gave little information and eventually hung up on this reporter, saying he did not know the owner.
"I absolutely do not own the land. I'm just the Registered Agent for it, and I don't have any comment beyond that," said Compton. |
