I am a retiree and we spend February every year in spi.  We have considered moving there permanently.  But as long as Texas is anti gay and anti abortion and pro gun, we can't do it. In fact we are considering February in California just because Texas politics are so excreble.

We wish you the best in promoting the island and promoting conditions for those who work on the island.

Hi Anne,

Hoping you’re staying cool during this heat wave.

We’re so sad to see you go.

Despite the political climate in Texas, could you share how SPI was anti-gay, anti-abortion, and pro-gun?

We’ve never heard any problems about these topics on the island. The island even advertises pride month, and other similar events.

Any information you can give helps.

Thanks for your response, and your support.

All my best,

Thanks for your interest.  We did not find SPI to be antigay, antiabortion or pro gun. We love SPI. To get here from Chicago, we have to go through an awful lot of Texas.

We don't like spending money in Texas as we go south,  and we are becoming increasingly concerned about how we will be treated as a gay couple as we go through Texas. Unfortunately SPI is part of Texas.

Again I am grateful to you for taking my remarks seriously.

Anne
