Uniting Strengths: South Padre Island's Plea to Work Together

By Sarah-Victoria Lozano

What happened

The Transit Department of South Padre Island is currently engaged in a study to improve transit services in Port Isabel and South Padre Island.

Why it matters

The City of SPI wants community input by participating in an open-house discussion designed for the public and stakeholders.

Community Questions Requested:

  • What are your transportation needs?
  • What opportunities for improved service are available?

Those involved will gain insights into local transit operations and contribute opinions. Feedback and suggestions are crucial in shaping upcoming enhancements to the services.

What now

The Transit department will host two sessions.

Session 1

Island Metro Multimodal Facility 321 Padre Blvd | South Padre Island

Thursday, September 7, 2023, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Session 2

Port Isabel City Hall 305 E Maxan St, | Port Isabel

Friday, September 8, 2023, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
