What happened

Board of Adjustments and Appeals (Zoning) Board of the City of South Padre Island will hold a meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in the Joyce H. Adams boardroom on the second floor of the municipal complex building located at 4601 Padre Blvd to consider the following:

An appeal concerning the issuance of a building permit by the building department regarding 415 Shore Drive Lot 3, Block 18, the Shores subdivision Marina Village.
Request from Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) for a variance from Section 20-11 Special Area Regulations (D) Temporary Structures (7) the permit application materials for a temporary structure shall include (b) a statement of the time period during which the temporary structure will be located upon the site maximum Dec. 31.

What now

A copy of the proposed requests is available with the SPI Planning Department for public review. The South Padre Island planning department will accept written comments from planning coordinator Marta Martinez at Mmartinez@myspi.org.

Written comments need to be received by noon Nov. 6, 2023, for consideration by the board. The City welcomes all interested parties to attend and be heard.
