The SPI Chamber of Commerce and Troy Giles Realty collaborated Wednesday Nov. 1 afternoon for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to congratulate the accomplishment of Troy Giles Realty selling real estate on SPI for 50 years.
Troy Giles, who moved to South Padre Island in 1971 and started selling real estate in 1973, is a pivotal contributor to what SPI is today. Giles has been an asset, not just in real estate, but in property growth, economic development on the island, and serving as the unofficial island historian. Notable projects include the Saida Towers, Puesta Del Sol, Padre Grand, and Padre South Condominium Hotels. Giles helped bring the Miss USA Pageant contest to SPI from 1993-1995. Giles was also the director of the South Padre Island Board of Realtors.
Troy Giles Realty has expanded across the bridge, with properties listed in Port Isabel and Laguna Vista. Check out their properties here. Congratulations on 50 years! |
