There’s no better way to start the upcoming Thanksgiving week than with an appetizer. Visit South Padre is hosting a Craft Beer and Wings festival at the Convention Centre this Saturday.
Island Matters spoke to Raul Garcia, who organized the successful Chrome in the Sand Car and Motorcycle Show last month and gave Island Matters details on what to expect on Saturday.
“Wings and beer, it doesn’t get much better than that,” Garcia said. “It’s craft beer from not just the Valley but all over. We’ll have live music, mini-golf for the kids, and try to throw on some college football.”
While it is a festival for everyone to have fun, you’ll also have the chance to vote on the best presentation and tasting for beer. Live music will vary from 80’s rock to today’s hits, something everyone can enjoy.
Gates are opening at 3 o’clock, with the event going on until 10. It is free admission to the public. Packages for 12 beer tastings and six wings will be sold for only $20 a person. The weather is supposed to be clear skies. For any additional information, visit their home page here.
