The Fall 2023 Speak-UP! Award Period is Currently Open for Nominations
The WPSC Speak-Up! Award is taking nominations for the Fall award. The nomination deadline is December 30, 2023
It is a statewide recognition program that celebrates the efforts of individuals and teams at Washington healthcare organizations who demonstrate a commitment to keeping patients and staff safe by speaking up and voicing their concerns to promote health care safety. This is a great way to recognize staff and Washington healthcare organizations for the fantastic work they are doing. It is open to clinical and non-clinical employees/team members from all Washington healthcare organizations, such as hospitals, pharmacies, long term care (e.g., skilled nursing facilities & assisted living facilities), clinics and physician offices to name some examples.
For more information go to the Speak-Up! Award website or contact Steve Levy, Executive Director, WPSC at slevy@qualityhealth.org.
If you registered for the conference and missed the Washington Patient Safety Speak-Up Award Panel presentation on Oct 18 at 9am, you should take a look. |

Art is not only beautiful, it is a potent medium of expression. Evocative and compelling, it touches the soul and connects in a way no other medium can. A New York Times Article “How the Arts Can Benefit Your Mental Health (No Talent Required)” by Christina Caron published on May 22, 2023 discusses how creating art, as well as art related activities, can benefit mental health.
The WPSC has a webpage with compelling pieces art from PNW residents. Look for Art Speaks within the Initiatives menu on the WPSC site or click HERE. |
